Decorative art through an exhibition :
Georges Goldfayn, a surrealistic passion
Galerie Berthet-Aittouarès

Georges Goldfayn (1933-2019) was André Breton's assistant and friend; like Breton, he made his life's work in the spirit of Surrealism; here is the unveiling of his collection, which includes some fifty Oceanic works, both raw and Surrealist, including works by Toyen, with whom he had a relationship; "this flat was a self-portrait of Georges Goldfayn".

In particular, this photo of his home shows his world where works of art, Oceanic and African objects (which were of such interest to the Surrealists) and handcrafts are mixed together, reflecting the spirit of openness and joyful curiosity of the founders of the Surrealist movement.
