BIOGRAPHY
Gastineau Massamba, was born in 1973 in the Republic of Congo.
He trained at the School of Fine Arts of Tsiemé - Brazzaville.
Sculptor, painter and poet, his work combines paintings, performances, writings and installations.
His work is based on laboratory principles by confronting several mediums, from watercolor to charcoal, from charcoal to Indian ink, to burns...
In his works predominate the questions of the body, and question around the international geopolitical news.
His work is recognized by international critics.
It was exhibited until June 2018 at the Bandjoun Sation, Barthélemy Toguo Foundation, Cameroon.
Gastineau Massamba entered the collection of the Museum of Contemporary African Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) in Marrakech in 2018. His works are also present in the Gervanne and Matthias Leridon collection, at the Blachère Foundation, at the Beneton Foundation, at the Centre d'art Barthélémy Toguo and many others.
He participated in the Dakar Biennial in 2004 and the Casablanca International Biennal in 2012.
