DANIEL PONTOREAU
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Paris in 1947, Daniel Pontoreau is a French sculptor.
He began making ceramic sculptures in the 1970s.
He travelled extensively, visiting sub-Saharan Africa, the United States, India and China in particular.
In 1988, he perfected a monumental casting technique.
In 2012, he began building a house-studio in Asfalou, Morocco, with architect Marc Barani. Since then, he has lived and worked between France and Morocco.
